Holiday Treat Guide for Tasty Tuesday

I admit it.  When it comes to tasty morsels of deliciousness, this Terrier is a Treat Hound.  Of course, I am a Hound for store bought treats since my Ma does not even attempt to make me homemade ones.  *sigh*

Since you may be in the same no-homemade-treats boat as me, I thought I would remind you of some of the great treats I got to taste-test this year, just in case you wanted to put them on your Holiday Wish List

Oz's Holiday Dog Treat Guide
Zuke's.  Made in the great State of Colorado, with only the finest ingredients, they are some of my most favorite treats ever!  There are so many to great treats to choose from but I recommend the Z-Filets (get the Venison!), Lil' Links (Rabbit!) and the Supers (great boost of anti-oxidants for all the dogs on a raw diet).

Merrick.  Is it everything is "bigger" or "better" in Texas?  Merrick uses real whole foods that are locally sourced and processed as little as possible in order to retain the natural benefits.  I just love me some of their Real Cuts Beef Liver Jerky, ya'all.

Halo.  Headquartered in my home State of Florida, Halo makes the health and well-being of pets their top priority.  I always have the Healthsome Peanut 'n Pumpkin Vegetarian Biscuits in the pantry.

Etta Says.  "Meet me in St. Louis, Louis...meet me at the fair."  These treats contain no grains, additives, fillers, colors, preservatives or by-products.  They are a single-source protein treat that are low in carbs.  I can eat a whole bag of the Roasted Duck Meat Treats or the Freeze-Dried Duck Meat Treats; they are that good.

Nature's Variety.  They may be Cornhuskers but they do not put corn in these treats!  I tried the Instinct Rabbit Meal & Apples Biscuits and there is also no wheat nor soy and they are both grain- and gluten-free.

Fruitables.  These treats are not "Bigger'n Dallas" though they are made there.  The Skinny Minis (Yum, Apple Bacon) are great treats for training and the Pumpkin and Banana treats are super crunchy.

Primal.  Animals may not have "left their hearts in San Francisco" but they sure left a lot of other parts for Primal's line of Roasted treats.  Roasted Buffalo Liver Chunks, Lamb Lung Crisps and Venison Lung Puffs are my top three choices.

Fromm's.  The cheese-heads at Fromm's make the ultimate cheese snack for dogs - the Four-Star Nutritionals Cheese Low-Fat Dog Treats.  Yummy!

Those are just some of the treats that I tried this year and many of them are treats I continue to enjoy.  Now remember, if you parents cannot get out to the store to buy these for you...or they cannot find them locally...you can always order online.  My friends at Chewy.com, PetFlow.com and/or PrimePetSupply.com are happy to ship treats (and food, and toys, etc.) right to your doorstep!

And don't forget your cat siblings, my pals!  Most of the companies mentioned above also make treats for those family members of the feline persuasion.

From one Treat Hound to another:  I hope your stockings are filled with a smorgasbord of tasty treats this holiday!

I am joining Kol and Sugar for the Tasty Tuesday blog hop!  Do you have something tasty to share?  If so, join in the fun!
