Healthy Treats that are Delicious?! Halo Healthsome Biscuits Product Review

I was given an opportunity to try some Halo Healthsome Vegetarian Biscuits recently and I was happily surprised at just how delicious they are!

You all know that I switched to a raw food diet, so Ma has been trying to find me some top quality, healthy treats that are not necessarily "raw".  Little did I know we were going to switch up my treats and go...gasp...vegetarian!

The Halo Healthsome Biscuits are gluten-free, grain-free, oven-baked treats made in the good ole U.S. of A. from loads of fruits and veggies. Just check out the list of healthy ingredients:

Halo Healthsome Peanut 'n Pumpkin Biscuits Ingredients
Potato Flour, Whole Peanut Flour, Tapioca Flour, Pea Flour, Canola Oil, Pumpkin, Tomatoes, Apples, Sweet Potatoes, Cranberries, Carrots, Split Peas, Broccoli, Parsley, and Ascorbic Acid

Did you know that Sweet Potatoes are a great source of complex carbohydrates which give your body energy?!  How about this....did you know that Parsley can freshen your breath?!

And the pumpkin...a great source of beta-carotene which is an antioxidant that helps prevent disease and infection.  It can help keep your coat and skin healthy while also improving your eyesight!

To me, the best part of the Halo Healthsome Vegetarian Biscuits is the CRUNCH!  These biscuits are super crunchy and can help keep my teeth nice and clean.

I give the Halo Healthsome Vegetarian Peanut 'n Pumpkin Biscuits 4 out of 4 dog bones for being very tasty, healthy and super crunchy.

You can find these Vegetarian Biscuits, as well as other Halo treats, at Chewy.com.  The Halo Healthsome Peanut 'n Pumpkin Biscuits are  regularly priced at $4.99 a bag (which is great because so many "healthy" treats seem to be far more expensive) but...they are currently on sale for $3.99 a bag

If you enter Chewy.com's rafflecopter here, you can win either a $25-off or $50-off promo code for Chewy.com OR their August Treat Prize Package!

So, what are you waiting for?!  I will race you to Chewy.com to buy more Halo Healthsome Peanut 'n Pumpkin Biscuits.
Crunch, crunch, CRUNCH...

  13. Yum Oz! Would it be bad of me to sneak one for myself? That combo sounds delish! I don't think the boys would allow it though. Good for you getting your fruits and veggies! Bacon is overrated. Mehhh. Well. Sometimes I guess it's okay in moderation ;)

  14. I'm not a fan of vegetarian food or treats for dogs, but then I remind myself that some dogs have allergies to meat proteins AND what does a vegetarian treat hurt? So I climb down off my soap box, admitting that I know nothing, and then go back to enjoying your posts. LOL

Best of luck to everyone who enters the giveaway! I'm curious how our dogs would respond to the super crunchy treats. They don't mind crunchy, but sometimes when it's too crunchy, it's hit or miss with them :)

    1. Well, you know we kinda agree with you Miss Kimberly but they were out of the duck flavored ones and the only other flavor was chicken...which I am allergic to. We thought we would try the vegetarian because they were also grain-free...and we much prefer to stay away from grains then from veggies.

But, LOL...what do we know?!? I am so glad you keep coming by and that you enjoy my posts!

  15. I think they sound tasty! Even for vegetarian treats. I try to give Shiner fresh veggies as treats every now and then but most of the time she just crunches them up and leaves a mess behind hehe.
