Fight for Better Regulations & Reporting for Animals on Airplanes

To all Anipals and their people in the United States:

Please consider joining Senators Robert Menendez (D-NJ), Richard Durbin (D-Ill) and Joseph Lieberman (I-Conn) in their joint letter to the Secretary of Transportation regarding the “interpretation of laws” that has allowed animal deaths during airline shipping to NOT be reported. Currently only animals considered “pets” need to be reported by airlines if they are missing or die during transport.

The Animal League Defense Fund has also started a petition urging the Department of Transportation to make airlines report any deaths of any animals (pets or other cargo) during transport as well as to identify the shippers and receivers involved.

It is easy to join in! The Animal League Defense Fund website has a clear and easy way to find your Senators and Representatives as well as sign and submit your letter.

Thank you in advance for your support of all animals!
