Early-Morning Walk

An early-morning walk is a blessing for the whole day.
--Henry David Thoreau

Oz the Terrier has an early morning walk at local Okeeheelee Park

Monday, we were supposed to get lots of rain courtesy of the broken apart Tropical Storm Erika.  However, we didn't get any rain; instead we had a beautiful sunny day with a cool breeze and no humidity.  We couldn't believe it!  So we headed down to one of our local parks, Okeeheelee Park, and went for a lovely walk around the lake.

Where do you go for your early morning stroll?

  6. Early morning walk is the only option for me, when the sun rises up, the ridiculous heat could melt my paw.

  13. I get mum up between 5 and 5:30 to take me on my walky to our dog park at the apartment. If she is feeling not so lazy, she will take me to Udall Park and then the store. We cannot go far later in the day because of the heat. Hopefully within a month or two, it will cool off!!

  18. We don't do early mornings in our neighborhood due to the school kids and traffic. Mid-mornings are nice and peaceful so that's when we head out and grab us some happy. ♥

  22. So glad that nasty Erika did not get you! Mom can't wait for retirement (end 2016) so mornings can be for walks and not hurrying to get ready for work!
