What's the Skinny on New Zuke's Dog Treats?

It's been a while since I received a package from Zuke's so imagine my surprise on Monday when a big box arrived from them.  Inside I found six bags of new Skinny Bakes dog treats.

Oz has got the skinny on new Skinny Bakes dog treats by Zuke's

After giving all of the bags a once-over, I noticed that these Skinny Bakes were well, meant to keep a dog skinny!  Three of the bags are baked with Peanut Butter and are only 5 calories a treat while the other three bags are made with Yogurt and are 2 calories a treat.  Two calories?!?  Is someone trying to tell me I need to be on a diet?

Skinny Bakes 5s are the new 5-calorie crunchy dog treats that pack a nutritious punch.  Made with rolled oats, barley and rice bran, along with the goodness of peanut butter and wholefood fruits, they are sure to please the palate while not packing on the calories.  Skinny Bakes 5s come in three flavors - Peanut Butter & Blueberries, Peanut Butter & Apple and Peanut Butter & Cranberries.

Oz with Zuke's 5-calorie Skinny Bakes dog treats

I typically do not like Peanut Butter but the Skinny Bakes 5s are more fruity than peanut buttery so I am enjoying them a lot.  The 5s are a decent size for me in that they are still large enough for me to get a good crunch on them.

Skinny Bakes 2s are the new 2-calorie crunchy dog treats that are made with brown rice, barley and rice bran plus the protein of yogurt.  The flavors are, I must admit, drool-worthy: Yogurt & Honey, Yogurt & Maple Syrup and Yogurt & Vanilla.

Skinny Bakes 2s by Zuke's are best suited for puppies and toy breeds

Now, do you see how tiny these 2s treats are?  They are recommended for puppies and toy breeds because they are so small.  Ma had to tell me to "Chew it!" because I swallowed the first one (or two) whole.

Skinny Bakes 5s and 2s are made in the USA without wheat, corn or soy.  They do make for a good training treat, just remember to select the size/calorie count that is best for you!

  13. These look great. My dog, Bittle, can share with her buddies, my pet rats. I love extra small sized treats. And, even though Bittle is 65 pounds, she's really good at chewing otherwise, she doesn't get to share the small rat treats. One of our favorite treats is a tupperware of semi-sweet chocolate chips with unsalted roasted peanuts. Bittle can't have the chocolate, but she gets to enjoy the peanuts. Chocolate is safe and beneficial for pet rats. But, one has to be really careful with having a dog around.

These treats would be perfect for my guys.
