Contests: Find Out Who Wins & Another Begins

I love contests, don't you?  I must admit that when I host a contest, like my Go Orange for Animals contest, it is SO hard to choose a winner.  I think for the Go Orange for Animals contest, everyone is a winner!

But, I did have to choose one participant to win the big $50 Petco gift card prize.  It was so hard to choose that I asked for help from another Blogville friend - who also had a hard time just choosing one winner.  BOL

The winner of the Go Orange for Animals contest is a friend who not only is a bit orange in color themselves but had the magic power of turning their world orange to raise awareness about the cruelty to animals.  The winner is....Cinnamon!!!  Congratulations!!  (Cinnamon, please send your address to my email info at oztheterrier dot com.)

So, now we move on to my next contest.  I was reading my pal Ranger's Wacky Holidays for May post and well, if you read his post too then you know that May 12 is Limerick Day which means...I just  have to host a Limerick Writing Contest!

I will put a blog hop on my Blogville Tours page for the contest soon.  Everyone is encouraged to post their Limerick poem on their blog on May 12 and link up for a chance to win!  I will also post on May 12 and put the blog hop code in my post (however, I also have another post scheduled for May 12, so to get to my Limerick Writing Contest post, you will have to scroll to the second post on my blog that day).

Now, I know I have done contests like this before and some pals...Frankie and Ernie...who shall remain nameless, think they can half-ass their way through writing a Limerick and enter the contest.  I want to encourage you all to write the whole 5 lines...unless you want to win a booby prize of say, a half eaten bag of treats.  Everyone...no matter where you live...can enter the contest!  Prize Categories and Prizes will be determined by me after I read through everyone's poems!

Remember, it does not have to be a great Limerick.  We are doing this for the fun of it!  And just in case you need a reminder - Lines 1, 2 and 5 rhyme and they consist of 7(or 8) syllables while Lines 3 and 4 rhyme and consist of 5 syllables.

Who is in for the Limerick Writing Contest?

  7. Dingy Dong Dong Oz The Great and Powerful you on the other end of this conversation? How great for Cinnamon why that is a shopping trip just waiting to happen. Congrats to Cinnamon. I don't know if I have a Limerick in me, why if I did it would probably be about my red a$$. Lee calls me her sock money because they all have red a$$es. I am doing better and getting happier each day, but Friday the vet makes the decision if I will need surgery.
    Thanks for being a friend
