It is the start of Rainy Season and that means thunderstorms. Thunderstorms never bothered me when I was younger, but that seems to be changing and we don't know why.
Monday's thunderstorm was a big one so Ma brought out my Thundershirt. It helps a little bit...but it doesn't stop me from barking at the thunder.
Have a great...and dry...Wordless Wednesday!
Oh Oz, don't be frighted, I don't like the idea of yous being frighted! I'm not bothered by the thunder or lightening, not too keen on the fireyworks but the peeps are working on that one

It's stormy season up here in IL, too. Fortunately, storms never bothered Pip or Ruby. I hope the Thundershirt helps Oz.
ReplyDeleteI (Furts) Feel your Pain... Storms scare the POOPS outta me. The thundershirt didn't help ME much at all either..
ReplyDeleteErnie isn't scared of storms... I think he is too ignorant to know he SHOULD be afraid of them. Butt Mom says I shouldn't say that.
Lookin' good in the camo Thundershirt Pal! You and Koda are twins!! He has the same one.....only bigger! :P
ReplyDeleteHope the storms aren't too bad for you.

ReplyDeleteHey Oz!
ReplyDeleteWow, I hope it isn't too bad there for you....it's snowing here on me right now! That's just crazy. Hope the shirt helps. Keep calm, my furiend and watch for a rainbow after the rain. Well, that and worms on the sidewalks. BOL

Fortunately storms have never bothered me. Thundershirts have helped a lot of my foster siblings, though!
ReplyDeleteWe have a lot of thunder in the summer at twilight (most of the times with no rain) and we'd go crazy if we let the thunder bother us. We're used to it.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great shot! We had tons of rain here in Toronto too. Kilo's not to happy about it.
ReplyDeleteSorry about the storms Oz...I don't think the barking will make the thunder stop though.
ReplyDeleteI like your thundershirt and it has orange on it!!

That happened to Katie too. She never minded storms and then as she got older it scared her, but now her hearing is off and it no longer bothers her.
ReplyDeletepoor baby, hoping the shirt brings you comfort xoxo
ReplyDeleteThis also happened to Bourbon as he got older. So far we haven't needed to do anything extra besides cuddle with him :), but every year it gets slightly worse.
ReplyDeleteWe're gettin storms here too - luckily I don't care.
ReplyDeleteYou would not have liked it here two nights ago. We had a crazy storm! Hope your Ma holds you tight during those storms!

I hope that the thunderstorms aren't too bad in your area! You look really cute in your ThunderShirt. I've considered getting one of those for my cat Cinco. He's a bit of a nervous guy.

Oz don't be frightened, just bark all that fear away!
ReplyDeleteTell that thunder who's boss!
ReplyDeleteI'm with you Oz! I've had on my Thundershirt already this year. Love Dolly
ReplyDeleteOur pawrents are glad that neither of us cares about the thunder. Some of our Angel siblings were not so calm.
ReplyDeleteI hope rainy season speeds by for you, Oz!

The same thing happened with our older dog but it helped a bit when we gave him a treat every time the thunder rumbled. Our vet thought that the reason was that our dog was going deaf so he "felt" the vibration of the thunder but didn't hear it. And that probably confused him after a lifetime of hearing the thunder. So, with some success, we counterconditioned him to like that thunder vibration by sitting next to him and giving him a treat after each thunder rumble.
ReplyDeleteI don't know if my rambling is any help at all but I sure hope that you don't get too much thunder this season, Oz!
The thunder will always be louder! You should live here. It hardly ever thunders!
ReplyDeleteYour Pals,
Murphy & Stanley
Aww Oz, I am so sorry that the thunder is bothering you. I know that you will be kept safe with your parents.
ReplyDeleteWe hope those storms pass through quickly, Oz.
ReplyDeleteWe are having snow! Phooey!
ReplyDeleteOz I think you're telling the thunder to be quiet and cut it out already.

Oh, I thinks we ALL bark at the thunder! Even me! Especially when they are those loud thunder boomers!!
ReplyDeleteI hopes you can snuggle with your Moms and Pops!
Kisses,
Ruby ♥
I'm glad thunderstorms are rare here! Personally, I enjoy them from indoors but they freak Mr. N out.
ReplyDeletehoping you have a not so thunderous rainy season.
ReplyDeleteWe didn't get many thunderstorms last summer, and hope it's the same this one. We have a thundershirt to try if they bother Luke, though it never helped Sheba much. Sorry they bother you, Oz, you must get a lot of them down there.
