Let's Talk Turkey (and Beef, Bison, etc.) About WellyChef #WellyTails

There is a new food in town...or at least, there is a new food in my home.  It is a Veggie & Fruit + Chia Canine Blend called WellyChef to which you add your own meat - either raw or gently cooked - developed by WellyTails.  I could not wait to give this food a thorough Terrier Taste Test.

WellyChef - Feed your dog the same quality meat that your family eats!
WellyTails created WellyChef as a nutritionally balanced dog food base mix.  WellyChef is grain-free, uses real food ingredients, has no artificial preservatives or colors and is produced in the USA.

WellyChef allows you to add your own fresh meat so you know exactly from where your meat is coming.  The WellyChef Veggie & Fruit + Chia Canine Blend can be mixed with your own Beef, Bison, Lamb, Pork or Turkey and you can add it raw, like I do or you can gently cook your meat first (which is great for my friends who eat home-cooked dog food).

Some Interesting Facts About Chia
When Ma heard "Chia" she thought Chia Pet not food.  By doing some research on Chia she found that:
  • Chia is a great source of important Omega-3, 6 & 9 fatty acids;
  • Chia has more Omega-3s than salmon;
  • Chia is also a great source of fiber; and
  • Chia helps support healthy insulin levels.

Mixing Up My WellyChef
Preparing WellyChef is quite easy whether you are using raw or gently cooked meat.  All you need is a mixing bowl, some measuring cups, warm water, WellyTails Fortified Wild Ocean Fish Oil Omega-3 Blend, vegetable oil, your choice of meat and WellyChef Veggie & Fruit + Chia Canine Blend.

Taste Test and Beyond
The first time I tried WellyChef, Ma made it with Bison.  It was absolutely delicious!  She has now started making it with Beef and that is absolutely delicious too!  I eat every last morsel out of my bowl.

Ma believes the addition of the Fortified Wild Ocean Fish Oil Omega-3 Blend into the food, which already has those great Omega fatty acids from the Chia seed, is really helping my skin and coat!  My allergy rash has diminished dramatically so I itch and scratch less.  Ma hasn't had to give me my allergy medicine in weeks.

Ma says I have more energy too!  Chia is known for its ability to increase energy levels and stamina and for a senior dog like me, that is another bonus.
