My Friday Finds for 2/22/2013

Happy Friday!!!

Today is officially the last day I have to share Ma with her friend's dogs, McKinley and Saxton.  Woof-hoo!

Saxton (Pit) and McKinley (Lab/Hound mix)

Ma has been dropping in on McKinley and Saxton twice a week to take them outside and let them burn off steam for an hour or so while her friend is at work (and her husband in serving our country in Afghanistan).  McKinley and Saxton appreciated Ma coming over and playing with (and training) them (probably because Ma brought along training treats - and who wouldn't love that?!).

I also want to send out a BIG HELLO and THANK YOU to new friends and new followers on my blog - and if I missed anyone, I do apologize.

Benny and Lily from Two French Bulldogs
Amber DaWeenie from Da Weenies of Florida
Brian from Brian's Home
Maggie Mae and Max from Maggie Mae Says
McGruffy Ann from McGruffy's Reader
Jeanne Pursell from BichonPawz
Kristin from Dog Life and Style
and Swettie Petuina and Susie Bean

On Tasty Tuesday, I posted about my secret-special surprise for Gizmo and Miss Beth when they were down to visit last weekend - Dining Al Fresco at Hurricane Alley Raw Bar and Restaurant.  If you missed that post, then you missed seeing our HUGE servings of Roast Beef Ends and BACON...which were deeeeee-licious.

Giz wrote all about our adventures at the park (and more!!!!) yesterday on his blog...so if you missed that, hop on over to Terrier Torrent.

Giz and I had a great time and I am very thankful to him and Miss Beth for my new hoodie sweatshirt.  I just love it!

And finally, I received some GREAT news from Col. Potter Cairn Rescue Network earlier this week.  Do you remember Needles?

Well, he has a PENDING ADOPTION.  Woof-hoo!  *zoomies in circles*  I am so excited for Needles and would like to ask everyone to please keep their paws crossed that Needles' adoption goes through so he can finally go to his forever home.

Honora and Pride are still waiting in Col. Potter Cairn Rescue Network foster homes for their forever homes so...

Pride

Honora

If you, or someone you know, lives in home in need of a Cairn, please share the rescued Cairns at Col. Potter Cairn Rescue Network's website with them.  Every dog deserves a forever home.

With that, I hope your weekend is full of wonderful adventures.

  1. Yay Needles! My auntie K has a Cairn and a Westie. Mom said she wouldn't mind adding one to the pack, if it was the right one. Looks like there's only one in our whole state. Boo! Or maybe yay?!

  6. Nice to see so much good news here today. Nice of you to share the mom with McKinley and Saxton. I know it must have been a big sacrifice. Of course, we all know that the more dogs we love the bigger our hearts become. Now you'll get the benefit of all that extra room in the mom's heart.

    1. Oh, thank you Miss Pamela. And you are so right...the more we love the bigger our hearts get. Ma says there's plenty of room in her heart so I shouldn't worry about her leaving a bit of space for Saxton and McKinley.
