Sweet as a Senior Dog

It takes many years for a soul to get this sweet!

oz terrier soulful eyes portrait

The thing that made me immediately fall in love with Oz was his soulful eyes. When I look in them now 12 years later, I can still see the mischievous Terrier puppy we brought home on Thanksgiving weekend. I also see pure LOVE.

What do you see when you look into your dog's eyes?

  9. I agree. When I look into Dakota's eyes I see sensitivity. He is an incredibly sensitive and intuitive dog, like his Mama. He exudes love from his eyes.

  11. Oz has eyes that tell us he has a heart of gold. Mom says Misty has eyes that exude fun and happiness. Lightning is more somber - probably goes along with all the fears he has:(

  14. OMG, yes, he is definitely a sweetie! When I look into Zue eyes, I see years of being mistreated and pain. However, there is a softer side to her eyes which say thank you for rescuing me. WHen I look into Titan's, I see my soulmate. He is my main man squeeze. He looks into my soul and vice versa. The love is strong and natural. :)

Ok, I'm all gushy now..... bla bla bla!

  16. Mom says I'm the sweetest thing too, but she also said I'm a mean old lady when it comes to other dogs. At least I am sweet around people. You look very sweet and lovable!

  17. Thank you Oz for a very beautiful post. When you share so many adventures and so much love with your family you grow a great big soul full of love. When I paint an animal portrait I do the eyes in the beginning and as I work I'm imagining the soul looking out of those eyes.

  18. Mom also sees Oz's sweet, mischievous side in his eyes. She says my eyes show.... nuthin' at all. Except maybe a little DUH or a gleam of DERP. But mostly nuthin'.
