Oz's 2016 Holiday Gift Guide for your Adventure Dog

For those who love the outdoors, adventure gear always makes a great holiday gift idea. The same holds true for the adventure dog. Whether it’s a new, sturdy harness for hiking to a comfy, portable bed for relaxing in the great outdoors, Oz has some great gift ideas for you to consider.

Holiday Gift Guide of Gear for an Adventure Dog

1. Sleepypod Clickit Sport Safety Harness – when we hit the road and head out for an adventure, Oz is always buckled securely in the car with his Clickit Sport dog travel safety harness. The Clickit Sport is crash-tested, holds a 5-star rating from the Center for Pet Safety and is simple to use.

2. Ruffwear Web Master™ Harness – Oz wears this supportive, sturdy dog harness whenever we are hiking. With 5 points of adjustment for proper fit, a foam-padded chest, and a paddle handle, it allows us to help Oz maneuver up and over obstacles.

3. Kurgo Loft Dog Jacket – this is a new addition to Oz’s adventure gear! This waterproof, lightweight, quilted fitted dog jacket is ideal for keeping your dog warm while still allowing your dog to move freely during adventures.

4. Gold Paw Series Sun Shield T-Shirt – a shirt for dogs that blocks 98% of the sun’s UV rays is perfect for adventures in the sun. Made from a summer-weight stretch jersey material, Oz can wear this t-shirt any time of year to protect him from the sun and environmental allergens.

5. Gold Paw Series Stretch Fleece – for your adventures when it is not too hot and not yet cold enough for a dog jacket, the Gold Paw Series Fleece popover is ideal for keeping your dog warm on cool-weather adventures.

6. PetSafe Hands-Free Leash – the hands-free leash is great for freeing up your hands while responsibly hiking with your dog. The leash features a belt with a Velcro enclosure which easily adjusts for a comfortable fit.

7. P.L.A.Y. Outdoor Chill Pad – you may have noticed this outdoor dog bed in some of our photos. What we love about it is that it rolls up and secures itself closed with Velcro for easy toting or attaching to your backpack. It is made of durable, high performance fabrics commonly found in camping products which are waterproof and UV-resistant.

8. P.L.A.Y. Scout & About Outdoor Dog Tent – we have had this for some time but have yet to have an opportunity to use it. But that will change come New Year’s weekend when we go tent camping! The dog tent is made of durable camping fabrics with mesh sides for ample ventilation and visibility.

9. QuikShade Pet Shade Dog Bed – we get so many comments on this outdoor raised dog bed when we are camping! Oz just loves it and we love it because he is off the ground, away from crawling insects, and protected from the sun by the cover.

Get your adventure dog gift on with our fun giveaway! One reader will win a God Paw Series Sun Shield T-Shirt and a PetSafe Hands-Free Leash for their outdoor adventures in our Gift Guide giveaway. 21. Well, Pug isn't very adventurous, LOL, but he could use one of those Gold Paw Fleeces. I keep my bedroom chilly because I can't sleep when I'm hot, but he prefers to be toasty! And they layer nicely with coats for outside.

  22. They don't really need it until summer of course, but I'd love to try the Outdoor Chill Pad for a few of them that hate being hot. Thanks!
