Purina Beneful® Brings #DreamDogPark Project to Miami

Yesterday we were invited to attend Beneful’s Dream Dog Park Project in Miami.

Beneful Dream Dog Park Project in Miami

Beneful joined the City of Miami to lend a paw and help make improvements to the Dog Park at David T. Kennedy Park, assisting with overall beautification efforts and installing new park equipment. In addition to working alongside Miami Parks and Recreation volunteers, Beneful also donated $20,000 to the City to enhance the dog park experience for dogs and their owners.

City of Miami Parks and Recreation Director Kevin Kirwin said, “The improvements and additions we have planned will benefit dogs and their owners for years to come.” The improvements include new dog play/agility equipment, owner seating and much more.

It was a two-hour drive in rush hour traffic for us, but we caught the tail end of the check presentation. Then we headed into the dog park for some FUN with new friends. We even got to meet two Miami bloggers – shout out to Mommy Mafia and Cool Moms Cool Tips!

At Beneful, they believe dog parks strengthen the bond between owners and their dogs, creating a positive ripple effect of joy that travels though our days, our communities and our lives. It is why they started the Dream Dog Park Project. It is also why they teamed up with the crowdfunding site GoFundMe – Beneful wants to encourage dog lovers everywhere to seek and provide financial support for dog park improvement and building projects across the country.

The Dog Park at David T. Kennedy Park was Beneful’s second stop of the season and from what I heard, the park needed a pick-me-up. Beneful is planning to support over a dozen dog parks across the U.S. this year through financial donations and volunteerism. To learn more, you can visit the Dream Dog Park Project website.

Do you know a park that needs a Dream Dog Park Project makeover?

  7. We simply NEED one dog park in our area. It is so sad that one has been designated but our officials keep it tied up in court for years. Sigh...
