VetIQ Skin & Coat Omega-3 Supplement Chews for Dogs

Many owners know that Omega-3 fatty acids are important for their dog’s health. Omega-3 fatty acids have been shown to improve the health of a dog’s skin, coat and joints. They are also important for eye development and can help decrease inflammation. While a dog’s body can produce some fatty acids, it cannot produce the essential fatty acids EPA and DHA, so a dog must receive these in its diet.

Oz VetIQ Skin & Coat Omega-3 Chews for Dogs

If you feed your dog a raw diet, or if you add raw toppers to your dog’s meal, and those meals contain natural sources of fatty acids – like fresh meat, fish, fish oil or flaxseed oil - you may not need to provide Omega-3 supplements. If your dog’s food does not contain Omega-3s, you may want to consider adding a supplement or treat, like VetIQ Skin and Coat Omega-3 Chews, several times a week.

VetIQ’s Skin & Coat Chews provide a readily available source of Omega-3 fatty acids for your dog. The treats are specially formulated to provide maximum bioavailability of both EPA and DHA. The Chews are a decent bite chew but they are soft and can be broken apart for smaller breeds. The addition of Chicken Liver makes them a tasty and healthy treat for your dog.

VetIQ Skin & Coat Soft Chews for dogs contain essential fatty acids

Skin & Coat Chews have nutrients to leave your dog’s skin soft and coat shiny while helping to keep his/her heart and brain healthy. There are feeding guidelines on the package to help you determine the number of treats to provide to your dog. For a dog Oz’s size, two treats per day is all the recommended amount.

VetIQ also makes Hip & Joint Chews which are formulated to support healthy joint function and flexibility. The Hip & Joint supplement chews contain Glucosamine HCL, creatine and other ingredients to support cartilage and healthy connective tissue.   Vet recommended VetIQ Chews for Dogs can be found in your local retailers including Target and Walmart as well as online at Amazon.

Does your dog get enough Omega-3 Fatty Acids? Would you consider using VetIQ Skin & Coat to supplement your dog’s diet?

  6. We've tried those a few times. They are tasty, but we don't really need them as we get enough stuff in our daily meals.
