A Day at Okeeheelee Park

Last Saturday I spent the day at Okeeheelee Park, a local park where Daddy-dog's work was hosting their employee picnic. It was such a lovely day so while Daddy-dog readied the grill, Ma and I took a walk along one of the lakes.

Oz at water skiing course at Okeeheelee Park in Palm Beach County,Florida

This lake is set up for water skiing. There are five nationally-recognized competitive water ski courses in the park that can accommodate regular, wake board and kneeboard skiing. Can you see the jump ramp out in the lake? Hopefully, there aren't any alligators in there!

"A lake is the landscapes most beautiful and expressive feature.
It is earth's eye; looking into which the beholder
measures the depth of his own nature."
-- Henry David Thoreau

  1. There seem to be alligators in every body of water in Florida. As long as they don't come ashore and bother you, those water skiiers had better watch out for them!

  17. We think just-where-the-skiers-land off the ramp might be an ideal Gator hangout....just sayin'.
