Barkworthies Wants You to Chews Rescue

Barkworthies makes some of Oz’s favorite chews and treats so when they asked us to help spread the word about their new shelter program, Chews Rescue, we said we were happy to share.

Barkworthies has been a big supporter of animal rescue. Last year, they redesigned their website and packaging to exclusively feature rescue dogs.  One of their favorite rescue dog models is Jackson, a 3 year old Australian Cattle Dog, Pit Bull Terrier and Border Collie mix who was adopted by his pet parents from Companion Pet Rescue.

Barkworthies wants to celebrate rescue dogs and inspire more people to adopt from shelters. It is why today, March 1, they are kicking off their new philanthropic program, Chews Rescue with a $10,000 donation to their local rescue, Richmond Animal League as well as a generous donation of Barkworthies treats for the pups in the shelter.

And Barkworthies wants you to be involved in this great program as well.
Starting today, and culminating on April 30, Barkworthies is launching a 2-month Facebook campaign that invites pet parents to share photos and stories of their rescue pets, as well as why rescue is the best breed, on the Barkworthies Facebook pageFor each entry on their Facebook page, Barkworthies will donate an additional $5 to the Richmond Animal League.

At the end of the campaign, Barkworthies will choose one lucky dog from the Facebook page entries to receive a year’s supply of Barkworthies treats and chews!  In addition, Barkworthies will make a 500-piece product donation to an animal shelter in the winner’s honor!

Barkworthies Chews Rescue program was developed as a tribute to everyone that assists in animal rescue and the positive impact it makes on individual families and the community.  Avrum Elmakis, Barkworthies’ CEO and Co-Founder says:

“When my wife and I got our dogs, Espy and Sushi, it changed our lives. They were the inspiration to create Barkworthies and, ultimately, shaped the brand’s commitment and standards.  We hope the Chews Rescue program gives back in a meaningful and significant way – it’s our way of saying thank you.”

Will you Chews Rescue and share
your photo/story on Barkworthies Facebook page?
