How Do You Clean Your Dog's Teeth? #DogDentalHealth

Dr. Oz the Terrier is back to wish you a Happy Pet Dental Health Month.  It’s time to brush up on your dental health and show us your pearly whites!

Oz the Terrier Time to Brush Up on Dog Dental Health

During the month, I will be writing more about the different ways you can clean your dog’s teeth and why it is so important to maintain his/her dental health but for today I am curious:

How do you clean your dog’s teeth?
Do you use a toothbrush and toothpaste?
Do you have a fancy electric toothbrush for your dog?
Do you take your dog for anesthesia-free cleanings?
Does your dog chew raw bones or dental treats?
Do you use a combination of the above?
Tell us in the comments!

I use a combination of a once-in-a-blue-moon brushing, chewing raw bones and chewing dental treats.  My favorite dental treats are of course, Whimzees.  They are vegetarian so they do not have anything I am allergic too.  I love the fun shapes too, especially the alligators.

Dr. Oz the Terrier uses Whimzees dental chews for good dog dental health

To get Pet Dental Health Month started on the right paw, one reader can win Whimzees Dental Chews (fulfilled by Oz the Terrier).  Giveaway is open everywhere to ages 18 years or older.  Please follow the instructions in the giveaway tool.

  7. It is hard to look at our teeth let alone brush them. I love to chew and have a variety. I have nylabones and a benebone. I also LOVE Whimzees and Himalayan chews which I get to have on a monitored basis. We also have some dental chews that Bailey & Hazel get to chew on

  9. My dogs aren't really thrilled about getting their teeth cleaned, and with four rescued Treeing Walker Coonhounds it can be really hard. I do try to give them dental chews when I can, and use an oral dental gel and spray (which they don't really like, too).

  11. We get our teeth brushed with our special toothbrushes and doggie-toothpaste! My brush has a princess on it and is PINK and purple, and Maggie's has planets on it. I use poultry flavor toothpaste, but Maggie likes the minty kind. I don't care for that one.
    Cammie!

  15. We are loyal teeth brushers, with a few good chews on the side. Our chompers are all looking pretty good.

  16. Ruby loves Whimzees, too. Because she received such poor care for the first half of her life, her teeth are a mess. Some treats are too tough for her, but Whimzees are perfect texture for her. She is able to chew them and they don't seem to bother her the way others do.

Especially alligator one is so cute! ;) Thank you for hosting a giveaway! <3
