A Day at the Ball Park

Last week Ma and I went to the local Little League ball park and had a walk around.  It was fun and we had the whole park to ourselves.  Ma has fond memories of playing softball when she was young so she made me pose around the ball field.  This photo reminded her of the great Abbott and Costello routine, Who's on First?, which she later watched on YouTube.

This is actually a County park - Lake Charleston Park - and it is only about a mile from our house.  We could walk there but it is way too hot at this time of year, so we drove.

The park has a small lake but with the lack of rain lately, the lake level is quite low.  We only saw one Egret and one Great Heron and they flew away when they saw me coming.  We walked around the whole park and then took a break in the shade at the picnic area  before heading back to the car to drive home.

I really enjoyed this outing with Ma.  It was just a short stay at the park but we still spent quality time together.  And that's what counts most in life, don't you agree?!  I hope you all had a wonderful weekend filled with quality time together with the ones you love.

Don't Forget:
There's still plenty of time to enter my Bravo For Special Moments Photo Contest, open through Tuesday, June 23, 2015 here on a secret page on my blog.  It is a blog hop Photo Contest that will be published on Thursday, June 25, 2015 and winners will receive treat and/or food prizes from Bravo Pet Foods.

  19. Sounds like a wonderful time. I think we are getting your rain. We had so much mud at that hunt test last weekend, it was like trying to walk on ice. It was actually slippery....lol.
