A Dog's Gratitude #ShareGratitude

Does not the gratitude of the dog put to shame any man who is ungrateful to his benefactors?

does the gratitude of the dog put to shame any man who is ungrateful to his benefactors? saint Basil

Today, I am very happy to be co-hosting the Share Gratitude Blog Hop with my good friends, Cascadian Nomads, Loved by a Collie and Kitty Cat Chronicles.  The Blog Hop will be open from today, November 24 through Sunday, November 30th.  Please join us on any day and Share Gratitude.

So what could a dog be grateful for?  I am grateful that I have a Ma and Daddy-dog who love me and who take me on lots of great adventures.  They let me (safely) explore the world around me and soak up every little experience.

I am grateful for all my friends - the ones in my neighborhood and the ones here on my blog.  My friends brighten my life with laughter and joy through all the good times and the bad times.  The love of friends is like the warmth of the sun and I could bask in that sun puddle all day long.

I am grateful for all the people, in all the world, who choose to share their life with a dog (or any pet, for that matter).  Even if they do not have a pet now, I am grateful that there is room in their hearts for one because that means that someday, a pet who needs a home will find one with them.

Honestly, I am just so grateful for the life and path that has been put before me.  I know not every dog has as much in their life as I, or my friends, do.  Maybe that also makes me grateful that there is hope in this world - hope that everyone finds the person, the pet, the place, the home with which they are supposed to be.

Please come and Share your Gratitude with us.

  1. I love this! I'm extremely grateful for my chi's. We've been through thick and thin together.

I'd like to think they're grateful for me too.

    Happy Thanksgiving, Oz and family!

  2. I know how you feel Oz! When considering how grateful I am for all of the wonderful people I know all over the world I thought about how I also appreciate those I don't know too... all are great in their own way even if they are still on the path to finding that way. Thanks for co-hosting the hop and for sharing your grateful attitude.
