Why Eat Bravo! Duck Feet

Are you cringing at the thought of eating duck feet?  Ma cringed at the thought at first too but she got over it once she opened my first bag of Bravo! Bonus Bites Duck Feet.  So what that they look like duck feet...they do not have any odor, they are super tasty and very healthy.

Bravo! Bonus Bites Duck Feet for Dogs & Cats
I am so glad Ma buys these dry roasted treats for me!  They are made from one ingredient and one ingredient only - Duck Feet. Like the entire Bonus Bites line, these treats are all natural, USA-made treats with no added grains, no added hormones and are 100% antibiotic free.

Why I Love to Eat Duck Feet
Well first, because they are super crunchy.  You all know I am a crunchaholic...the bigger the crunch, the better.  Second is because they are really tasty...roasted duck tasty.  Who doesn't love roast duck?

I know some may think that these Bravo Dry Roasted Duck Feet are only for dogs on a raw diet but they are actually a terrierific supplemental treat for dogs (and cats) on any diet.  Duck feet are easy to chew, are highly digestible and contain lots of good stuff like selenium, phosphorus, zinc, iron, copper and small amounts of omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids.

Why You Should Eat Bravo! Duck Feet
Duck feet are also a great source of glucosamine, chondroitin and calcium.  These are important nutrients for aging dogs and cats and what better way to get them than from eating a crunchy, tasty treat?!?

Glucosamine is involved in the production of joint lubricants necessary to maintain healthy cartilage and joint function.  It is also one of the building blocks of articular cartilage (the cartilage that covers the ends of bones at your joints).  Glucosamine is also beneficial to other  body structures like nails, tendons, skin, eyes, ligaments and heart valves.

Chondroitin may be beneficial in preventing stress injuries to joints as well as aiding in the repair of damaged connective tissue.  It may also protect existing cartilage from premature breakdown as well as keep cartilage tissue hydrated.

Calcium not only helps build strong bones, it also helps heart function by supporting the contractions of the heart muscle.  It also aids in nerve transmission and muscle building.

What Do You Think?
Since duck feet are healthy and tasty, do you think you would be brave enough to try them...even though they LOOK like duck feet?  Do you think that getting nutrients from food instead of supplement pills is better for your overall health?  Are you going to try the Bravo! Bonus Bites Dry Roasted Duck Feet?

Tuesdays just got Tastier!  I am joining Sugar the Golden Retriever and Kol's Notes for their Tasty Tuesday blog hop.

Oz, the last picture is super tasty... I could eat the whole screen. My mom refuses to buy me such tasty things since I buried a chicken foot in the bed. They are mean, that's my bed, that staff is only on sufferance there. Have a tasty tuesday and maybe you can eat one of this tasty feet for me too?

  7. Hello handsome OZ!!
MOL I hope the duck feets don't make you quack. My sis's kitty Harley has IBD and diabetes the only food that works with both issues is made with all duck. Good news is he isn't quacking yet.

  12. I was determined to overcome my aversion to duck feet, but when I had them in hand at my local pet store I just couldn't go through with it! I know they would love them, and I feed them all sorts of animals, but just can't get past FEET.

  13. We have not yet tried duck feet. One of our local feed stores sells them loose, along with chicken feet, down at nose level for small dogs. Chewy hasn't picked one up to bring home yet.

  17. Sounds like a quack to me ;) Actually, that did not bother Mom a bit. She spent a lot of time in Asia when she was a flight attendant and they sell all kinds of stuff like duck feet and other animal parts in the markets and grocery stores, but the people eat them too. It took her a while but she learned to eat a grilled chicken leg with the foot still attached. She say hunger drove her to it, but she didn't eat the foot. Enjoy, my friend!

  24. Duck feet aren't so bad to consider eating! After all, Mom kinda freaked at the first bully stick that she bought! BOL!! If dogs love those, a duck's foot doesn't sound yucky at all!

    ReplyDelete
  25. Those look delish but mom would worry about Walter trying to eat them whole.

  32. I think those are great, my co worker gave me some kitty duck feet treats that I gave to my dogs and they loved them. I then would give my gang pheasant feet after hunting them last season, they loved them so I can imagine you loved these duck feet! Great review.
