Cool Pet Pad Beats the Heat of Summer

When Ma was at Global Pet Expo she met with The Green Pet Shop and snagged me a Cool Pet Pad.  I have been chillin' out ever since.

The Cool Pet Pad is a gel filled cooling pad that is weight or pressure activated.  All you need to do is lie down on it and the gel starts its cooling action - no electricity,  water or refrigeration required (though you can super cool the pad in the refrigerator if you want it to last a bit longer).

The cooling effect can last up to four hours if not refrigerated first - if refrigerated, it can last up to 6 hours.  The pad recharges automatically after a short period of non-use at room temperature.

It is flexible and folds up easily so you can store it or take it with you on an adventure.  It is pretty sturdy too and wipes clean with a damp  cloth.  The gel inside is non-toxic so if something should happen to the Cool Pet Pad, no harm will come to a pet.

Chillin' on the Cool Pet Pad
Ma thought this would be a great product for those hot summer months - actually year round here in South Florida.  Imagine going for a walk or just hanging out in your yard during the summer.  You get hot, right?  And then you go inside and try to find the coolest place in the whole house to lie down.  Well, now you can just go find your Cool Pet Pad, lie down and chill out.

I took mine outside with me.  Yes, I know a rest in the grass is cooling but I wanted to see if the Cool Pet Pad would do the job too.  It did!  Though outside in the heat the cooling effect doesn't last as long as when it is set up inside.

The Cool Pet Pad fits inside both my crates as well.  It provides a bit of extra cushion in the crate while also keeping me cool.

The Cool Pet Pad comes in four different sizes:  Small, Medium, Large and Extra-Large.  Prices range from $24.99 (Small) to $84.99 (Extra-Large).  The folks at The Green Pet Shop say it should last for years.  I hope it does - that would be super cool!

That's really a wonderful thingy. We have one too what we used at the dog show last year. But I was to busy to lay down, so it cooled my paws and that was ok too :o)

  16. The mailman just arrived and brought me your package for the limerick contest. Thank you very much! My boys are thrilled with the Salmon biscuits! I've got to admit they really do smell tasty, although I don't think I'll do a taste-test ;-) Thanks again, your contest was fun!

  24. Very cool I have to say! I usually hop in my pool if it is too hot, sit in the shade or go in where the a/c is running but this is a cool idea. In FL it is always hot making it a great idea.

  30. I don't know about your place, but you'll have to leave that in the middle of the floor because that's always where I lay to cool off! Looks like a great product, they have ones for warmth why not cool ones? Great review! Love Dolly

  31. Great review and looks like a really cool product! I really wonder if it would hold up to the nails and weight of my big dogs. It would be nice to put something in their crates at hunt tests while we sit there all day waiting in the heat. Thanks for sharing.

  33. This would have come in handy yesterday! I was chillin by the pool (just a kiddie pool in the yard - the pink one) and Shiner was by me in the grass. I laid a towel down for her because I noticed some sugar ants on her, but she didn't want to lay on it anyways. Sounds like a neat product!
