First Steps in New PawZ

Back in December I actually won a giveaway at my great friend Sugar the Golden Retriever's blog.  The giveaway I won was for PawZ Dog Boots.  I am so excited because Ma and I are hoping they will help alleviate the allergic rash I get on my paws from the grass.

What are PawZ?
Well,  if you read Sugar's blog, then you already know that PawZ are the first disposable and reusable dog boot.  There are 12 boots, 3 sets, in each pack of PawZ.

Ma thinks the PawZ look like little balloons; they slip on easily and fit securely.  Though they feel natural on because you can feel the ground under your paws, it took me a bit to get used to walking in them.  I'm pretty used to them now but...

Ma made a short (20 seconds) video of me taking my first steps in my new PawZ.  I only have them on my front paws in the video.  Ma says I look hilarious walking around in them.  Let me know what you think.

I want to send a BIG THANK YOU to Sugar and PawZ Dog Boots for hosting a giveaway for such a great product!  I will be letting you know how I am getting along in my new PawZ and if they are helping with my allergies.

  1. You know the best way to get use to them is to put them on and then do something you love to take your mind off them....like doing some tricks for treats or playing tug. If you are busy doing something then you forget you have them on

  11. Oz buddy you have cracked me up. Before I saw your video I had a mental picture of Madi in boots and lo and behold your video was exactly what I envisioned. Marching. Any time she steps on a something on the floor (yes I have a trashy floor) she holds up that paw as if it has offended her..looks at it and shakes and marches until it is off.

Hey are you interesting in hosting the Finale to the Queen of Hearts? A crowning would be very nice but
mom doesn't have a clue how to do a voting thingie or whatever it is folks use. If you are interested maybe we can partner you with someone.?? !!! :-) Madi your bfff

  12. We have a whole load of PAWZ at our house since we all wear different sizes. Katie often wears just one because of a paw injury, Bailie and I wear the when it is -20 outside as the frozen street and ice cold snow can really sting. I don't like putting them on, but I don't mind walking in them at all. They are great, but they don't last as long as we wish they would and it isn't that our claws go through, since they are super short, it is just stuff on the street that rips them.

  30. Very cute! Love the video! :) I think you will like the Pawz boots. As I told you I used them for a dog I used to take running. He liked to shuffle his feet, and these really gave him some protection. They seem to stay on really well even while running, and they are so lightweight the dogs don't mind too much. Your nails might wear through them if they are long. That was our only problem! Good thing they come with several pairs in a pack and they are not a bad price either in my opinion.

  31. Ringy Dingy Burp Burp ~ Oz buddy your allergic to grass? Why that is just terrible for digging up varments what we were meant to do. I hope your boots work, they look very stylish. I like the red color.

  32. Every dog I've ever seen try on boots has the same reaction to them. I'm glad it didn't take you too long to get used to them. I hope they work to prevent your allergies.

Honey doesn't wear boots. But I let the fur between her toes grow in the winter. It helps to protect her against the nasty salt people put on their sidewalks.

  33. BOL!!! You are walking like you want to sneak up on someone - tip toeing I guess. BOL!! It will be nice for you to have paw protection from the hot pavement in summer!
    Hugs,
    Pepper

  36. Hey not bad for your first time wearing them Oz. Hope they help your allergies!

  37. Yay, we love Pawz! I'm so glad you won some. Kobi wears his all the time. He doesn't like having them put on, but once they are on he prances just a little like you did, Oz, and then he's OK. It helps him with traction for his back legs, and we put on all four in the winter when there's salt/sand on the roads. We just started using them on our golden Sheba also so she doesn't get snowballs in her toes when she's out playing in the snow.
