Quiet Waters, Muddy Waters

So let's see who guessed correctly about where I was and what I was doing in my photo from yesterday.

A lot of pals said I was "in the park" and you would be correct!  One person said it "looked quiet" at the park and it was...and the park is named QuietWaters Park.

Quiet Waters is a 431-acre park located in Deerfield Beach in Broward County, Florida.  There is a lot to do there including visiting Splash Adventure water park, water-skiing on the Ski Rixen USA cable, boating/canoeing, mountain biking and of course, regular biking - which we did.  I rode in my Snoozer bike basket on Ma's bike!

We went a few weekends ago just to "tool around" on our bikes; Uncle Robbie met us there and we rode all around the park.  We did not go on the mountain biking trails because we did not think Ma could handle it with me on the back of her bicycle.  We did pass the Ski Rixen though and saw some kids trying to water-ski...some were successful and others were not!  BOL

After a few hours of touring the park, we headed over to Muddy Waters Restaurant for lunch.  Muddy Waters is a fun local restaurant with daily specials (and even karaoke on Thursdays - BOL).

We sat outside on the covered patio and enjoyed some refreshments and food.

I tried to help everyone place their orders with the very nice waitress but Ma, Daddy-dog and Uncle Robbie were completely undecided about what they wanted.

I gave up trying to help them and relaxed in the shade under the table.  The waitress brought me my own bowl of cool water.

It was a lovely day and we had a lot of fun biking and hanging out with Uncle Robbie.  I highly recommend these dog-friendly places so, if you are ever in the neighborhood:

  9. I wish Shiner were that small so I could put her on the back of my bike like that!! Looks like a fun time at the park. I learned to water ski when I was about 12 and never had any trouble getting up. Some of my friends when I was a teenager just never could get it though.
