My Name in Lights!

In case you haven't heard, part of my name, specifically "The Great and Powerful Oz" will be splashed across movie theaters starting in March 2013!

I think it is great that Hollywood would name a movie after me.  However, considering that the lead character carries BOTH my names in the movie, Oscar Diggs (as if that name was NOT inspired by a terrier named Oscar who just loves to dig holes) and "The Great and Powerful Oz", I am perplexed as to why I was not asked to play the part.

The movie is about how Oscar Diggs, a magician from Kansas, became the Wizard of Oz.  We all know he crash landed there in his hot air balloon but we didn't know that he was a shady sort while in Kansas, who dreamt of being Great and Powerful.

So, when he first arrives in the Land of Oz he thinks that fame and fortune have come his way...until of course he meets the witches (who don't think he IS the great wizard that the Land of Oz has been waiting for)!  He then has to decide who is good and who is bad, all while helping, by use of his magic skills, the people of Oz.

Sadly, there are no Cairn Terriers in this movie but we are there in spirit.  If Cairn Terriers were there, the people of Oz would have no use for a Wizard - we are THAT good at saving people from wicked witches (just ask Dorothy)!

Have a great weekend pals!!!
