She is nearly deaf, which has happened rapidly, she can't run anymore and walks very slow, she falls a lot, it makes us all very sad to see her deteriorate, but she is always so happy. It doesn't seem to bother her like it bothers us. She also has accidents in the house because her body is changing and when she has to go, sometimes she simply can't wait as her muscle control isn't what it once was. She is 13 and a large breed, which makes a difference. You smaller dogs stay younger longer. No matter what, she is still totally lovable! My GBGV Lifehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00281486885814998377noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-187712273752046389.post-44069087828030748372015-11-03T15:00:06.445-05:002015-11-03T15:00:06.445-05:00We absolutely agree that seniors are the best! She was Sunny, our terrier mix, who lived to be 15. Over the years we lost two to being hit by cars when we lived on a highway in Maine (Nemo got out while a caretaker lived with him while we were overseas, Clipper escaped out the front door when I was occupied with two preschoolers), one to lymphoma at age 7 (Kasey), and our first puppy (Sinbad) was run over by a park ranger who stopped to chat with us in his van. He drove away suddenly without checking. So lots of tragedies over the years. I'm hoping so hard that Toby will be our second senior dog someday.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01088617183777496464noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-187712273752046389.post-76503627959775336972015-11-03T07:55:54.889-05:002015-11-03T07:55:54.889-05:00We are not seniors yet.
