Solvit Products Tagalong Pet Booster Seat #giveaway

If you are small like me, you know how hard it is to see out the car window when you are sitting in the car.  Of course, standing precariously up against the door to get a view is not the safest way to travel which is why my good friends at Solvit Products created their Tagalong™ Pet Booster Seat.

That's right my window-challenged friends!  You can now ride safely in the car and catch all the great sights out the window all at the same time.

The Tagalong Booster Seat is a plush ride thanks to the removable, washable fabric liner which attaches to the seat with velcro.  There are slits in the liner for all the necessary straps - the headrest strap and the safety leash - to fit through, making it easy to get the fabric liner on and off.

The headrest strap is connected to the seat section by D-rings and can be adjusted to whatever length you prefer for your seat.  Once you have your headrest strap secured, you can then adjust and fasten the lower strap around the back of the car seat.

The Tagalong Booster Seat is designed to fit on all vehicle seats that have a headrest.  Solvit's design supports the seat from below with straps that are attached at the back of the booster seat.  It is easy to assemble and secure in either the front or back seat.

Securing Tagalong Pet Booster Seat by Solvit Products in car

I received the XL model Booster Seat from Solvit Products to try; it holds a pet that weighs up to 25 lbs.  Solvit also makes Medium and Large sized seats as well as their Pet Safety Seat which will hold a pet up to 30 lbs.  Ma was a bit nervous that it may not hold me without sagging but it held up just fine.  Ma secured my harness to the safety leashes in the booster seat and off we went for a drive.  Boy, did I enjoy the view for once!

One quick note per the Care & Use Guide provided by Solvit Products:  "Although the booster seat improves safety by reducing driver distraction, it has not been crash-tested and is not considered as safe as using our Vehicle Safety Harness."

I am all for being safe while traveling in the car and believe that although the Tagalong may not be crash-tested, it is probably safer than roaming around the car with no restraint at all.

What kind of safety restraint do you use in the car?  Would you like to try a Solvit Products Tagalong Pet Booster Seat?

One lucky reader can win a Tagalong Pet Booster Seat by Solvit Products - size of their choice.  U.S. Only.  Just enter the Rafflecopter for your chance to win.  The giveaway is open through Tuesday, November 4, 2014.  Good luck!

  1. I love taking my Pug Olivia off. I think she would ride in the car more comfortably with this system than just being harnessed in.

  3. Wow, this is a great idea! In our car, we go lots of places- the park, camping in Northern Minnesota, and around town. I'm not sure I'd fit into it, but maybe this could convince my little Sheltie friend to come visit me and my family more often! :)

  7. Hey Oz
What a great gadget for a well traveled pup like you. When I HAVE to ride in the car I have to be sequestered to the dreaded PTU ...otherwise there would be chaos in the car. Mom also puts a seat belt around the PTU...she obviously thinks I'm Houdini

  9. I totally love this car seat, I wish it would be possible to ride that way in a car for large breeds too. but then we probably would need a bigger car, huh? It's like a warm and comfy nest for dogs and even doggies who dislike the ar will like the seat, I'm sure!

  12. That's great for little dogs like yourself. My sisters and I always wear out seat belts but we are also tall enough to see out the window. I like to sit backwards and see where we have been.

  13. I always thought that Greta might like to ride in one of these. Hazel would like it, I am sure - she like to look out the windows.

  14. High Paws Oz, I have used a dog car seat since I was a puppy. I get nervous in the car if I do not have a dog car seat. I have a few car seats (including one that is crash tested), so I will not enter the giveaway.

  17. While my own dogs are probably too big for this, I am a volunteer rescue transport driver and when I have more than one dog in the van with me, I keep them all crated - except for one. I like to keep one of the smaller dogs up front with me, riding "shotgun", but I do worry about their safety. This would give them a safe way to look out the window for my part of the transport and keep them safe at the same time.

  18. That seat looks amazing! I love riding shotgun, but nearly always get relegated to the back seat, or worse, the boot :-(

Mind you, the fact I have normally been merrily throwing myself into mud doesn't help...

  19. That is absolutely adorable!! We, of course are much to big for that! Enjoy your new car seat!

  20. I wonder if something like this would make Cricket more comfortable riding? She doesn't like to ride, and often tries to get down on the floor. I think having something around her like that might really help her.
